Dates: 7 Wednesday's 8/25 thru 10/6. Rain date would be following Monday.
Time: 5:15pm-6:45pm
Place: Seamster Park, Belltown Field and Batting Cage.
Cost- $75 per player.
Overview- Clinic will be run by High School and Middle School Coaches and former College players. We will focus on skills that will help players become successful on the larger field.
Throwing- We will work on building arm strength and accuracy through coaching proper habits and techniques. We will work on teaching proper throwing mechanics to reduce the risk of arm injuries.
Hitting- We will work on proper hitting fundamentals. We will teach proper stance, load, pitch tracking, and bat path. We will work off of tees, front toss, and live pitching.
Fielding- We will work of fielding drills that will teach proper technique for both infielders and outfielders.
Catchers & Pitchers- We will work in drills for catchers and pitchers . Pitchers will work on throw overs (pickoffs), backing up plays, covering first base on balls to right side, and proper mechanics on the mound. Catchers will work on the 3 stances, framing, blocking, pop time, and throwing technique.
Baserunning- We will work on baserunning fundamentals including running through the base at first, leads off of each base, rounding the bases, and picking up the 3rd base coach.
