Three Tennis Balls Sitting on Racket
The start of these lessons is going to be moved back until late summer.  We are awaiting guidelines to come down from the state on June 6th for Sports.  A schedule will be sent out then.

This spring we are hosting Tennis Lessons at Sears Park with Quin Howe of Glastonbury Tennis Club (and staff).  Lessons offered are:

Adult Beginner - 60 min class
Players that have not played or have just started to play the game of tennis.  The focus will be on stroke development and beginning to learn how to have a controlled rally and keep the ball in play. Players will also be introduced to all the different tennis strokes, score keeping, and rules of the game.

Adult Intermediate -60 min class
Players that have some tennis experience but still need to develop better technique and strategy. The focus will be on some bio-mechanics, but more emphasis on consistency, footwork, and introduction to strategy during match play (doubles and singles).

Red Level 1 - Ages 4-6 Years Old - 60 min class
This Program introduces the foundational skills of tennis with an over-sized low compression ball on a smaller court.  Players learn basic rally, serve and net play skills along with activities that build tennis specific coordination.  Rules of play and "I am a good sport" behaviors are reinforced as well.

Orange Level 1 - Ages 7-9 Years Old - 60 min class
Orange tennis is played on a 3/4 sized court with a low compression ball.  Players learn how to serve, rally, score and play at the net.  "I am a good sport" behaviors are reinforced.

Green Level 1.0 - Ages 9-12 - 60 min class
Players learn to serve, rally, score and play at the net.  This age group plays singles and doubles on a regulation size court with a low compression transition ball.  Lessons take players through a progression of skill building activities that speed learning.

There is a minimum number of 4 students per class.
Lessons do not meet Memorial Day Weekend.
