PROFESSIONAL PICKLEBALL REGISTRY CLINICS
 
Learn to play PICKLEBALL - the fastest growing sport in the US! The Town of East Hampton is excited to partner with Leo Calderone PPR CERTIFIED COACH to offer clinics for:
 1)  Brand New Players/Novice Level
 
 2) Advanced Beginners/Intermediate Level For Players wanting to take their game to the next level.
 
  • New Players & Novice Level: Never played before or have played for a while and never taken lessons & is learning basic rules, how to serve, keep score, basic shots. Player may not be comfortable playing with others yet. Classes will focus on:
 
  • Basic Swings & Grip
 
  • Footwork
 
  • Serve & Return
 
  • Block/Punch Volleys
 
  • Dinking
 
  • Ball Control
 
  • Safety on court
 
  • Court Positioning
 
  • Basic rules & Keeping Score
 
New Player/Novice Class will meet weekly on Wednesdays 5pm - 6:30pm at East Hampton High School.  Cost is $105 for resident and $120 for non-residents for three classes.  Dates are September 18, 25  & October 2.  Rainouts will be rescheduled.  Class size is limited to the first 10 players, other players will be put on a wait list.
 
  • Advanced Beginners/ Intermediate Level: Player demonstrates good knowledge of the rules, gets most serves & returns in the court, hits to the weak side of the opponent, beginning to develop consistency for most shots. Classes will focus on:
 
  • Swing Techniques
 
  • Game Strategy & Tactics
 
  • Decision-making
 
  • Court Position
 
  • Drives
 
  • Drops & Dinking
 
  • Resets
 
  • Transition on Serve & Return
 
  • Volleys
 
  • Use of spin
 
This class will feature Coached Match Play to practice what players learn!
 
Advanced Beginners/Intermediate Class will meet weekly on Sundays 10:00am - 11:30am at East Hampton High School. Cost is $105 for resident and $120 for non-residents for 3 classes.  Dates are September 22, 29 & October 6. Rainouts will be rescheduled.  Class size is limited to the first 10 players, other players will be put on a wait list.
