Re: Construction work at Sears Park
    Dear East Hampton Residents:
The Sears Park/Boat Launch area has been undergoing construction consisting of Low Impact Development projects over the course of the last several weeks. This project is large in nature and has required the construction crew to block off portions of the north end parking and drive through locations for boat traffic during short periods of time each day. Although the project is moving as hoped we do anticipate some delays or temporary shutdowns of the Boat launch access and parking lot over the course of the next two weeks. We are asking that all traffic entering the park please stop and speak with the gate attendant so they can guide you on how to enter the boat launch area.
In addition to a few one to two hour shut downs of the boat launch over the course of next week there will be a closure of the launch for two consecutive days for paving on Tuesday, July 14th and Wednesday, July 15th the boat launch will reopen to the public on Thursday, July 16th. Please work around this schedule when launching your boat.
The dates listed above are dependent on weather, if the schedule needs to be changed, we will update our websites and social media platforms no later than end of day on Friday, July 10th.
Thank you for your patience during this important project.
    Jeremy Hall,
    Director of Parks and Recreation
