What to expect:
Learn basic rowing form on land using our row machines
Learn about the boat and water safety
Row in a Vespoli 8 around Lake Pocotopaug
Enjoy the peaceful sunrise and the calm lake all to ourselves.
What you need:
- Bottle of water and a towel.
You will get thirsty. You will get wet a little past your knees
- Water shoes
We walk right into the lake and it is very rocky
- Ability to swim
This is a safety precaution. There is no swimming involved in rowing.
- Ability to lift 25- 35 lbs
Our Vespoli 8 is heavy. We will have 8 rowers plus 3 additional adults to move the boat into the water. If you cannot lift 25 lbs we need to be aware of that in advance to make accommodations.
Optional: sunglasses with a strap or a ball cap if you are sensitive to sun.
Please be aware that the skills learned in each session build on each other. If you know that you will not be able to make more than 1 of the sessions, please consider joining a different session that works better with your schedule.
