Travel Around the World Theme
This camp will take learners on a trip around the world with their American Girl Dolls in tow. Each day we will visit a new location, learn a bit about where we are visiting, craft for our dolls or play American Girl Doll games! Each class will have a mixture of engaging books, video clips and plenty of discussion and of course play time. Our week will be broken down like this:
Day 1: Welcome! On our first day of camp, we will introduce ourselves and our dolls. We will start our trip in Chicago, USA exploring the founding of the American Girl Doll company! We will end class playing American Girl Doll games to learn more about our dolls.
Day 2: Today we head to Iceland for a tour of a local Whales of Iceland museum and whale watching. We will spend the rest of class crafting related goodies for our dolls. Cameras? Binoculars? Ponchos?
Day 3: Let's go to Paris! Today we will learn about the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe and Louvre. Afterwards we will create miniature works of art for our own art exhibit.
Day 4: Egypt, Africa. Today we will visit the Valley of the Kings and look at treasures found within the tombs there. Next we will craft our own jewelry sets for ourselves and our dolls!
